Taylor Swift on Saturday paid a surprise visit to one of her biggest fans, an eight-year-old girl named Isabella McCune, at the Maricopa Medical Center's Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix.
Isabella suffered third-degree burns on most of her body more than a month ago following an accident at a St Patrick’s Day party when a fire pit exploded, according to theArizona Republic.
The 28-year-old songstress made the special trip after McCune's family and the newspaper collaborated on a video Wednesday, ahead of Taylor's kicking off her Reputation tour with a concert in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday.
In the clip, Isabella explained to the Grammy-winner that she had hoped to be at the show in person, but was confined to medical facility as she battles back from the burns, which covered more than 65 percent of her body.
'I heard you were here, and I wanted to visit you but maybe you can come and visit me,' Isabella said. 'So maybe that can happen.'
The Look What You Made Me Do artist, the paper reported, told her that she was happy to meet her, and Isabelle told Taylor that she listens to her music to get through her toughest times, as medical workers spend up to three hours switching out her dressing.
The Bad Blood singer gave the healing tot plenty of souvenirs from her tour, such as T-shirts and sweatshirts, as well as autographed pictures.
In a journal being kept for Isabella, Taylor wrote, 'Isabella! I hope you feel better soon and I’m honored you've been listening to my music. You're so awesome and I can’t wait to have you at a show!! Stay strong, gorgeous. Love, Taylor Swift.'
Isabella's mom Lilly told People that the ...Ready for It? artist 'took time out of her busy, busy schedule and sat down on the bed next to Isabella,' and 'said she had to meet her because she was so inspired by her story and honored that her music helped her.'
The mom continued, 'When she was leaving, my daughter asked for a hug and Taylor turned around and said, "Absolutely - I didn’t want to hurt you." They hugged and it was so heartfelt. I knew it meant a lot to Isabella.'
Lilly said Isabella was 'shocked,' 'speechless' and 'so happy' over the visit from the singer.
