Last night saw the premiere Married at First Sight New Zealand and let's just say we weren't expecting so much tongue action!
We met the future bride and grooms in last nights episode, but one bride we had already met before.
You may recognise Bel Clarke's face from the third season of The Bachelor.
Whilst Bel is no stranger to Kiwi reality TV shows, she has received more negative feedback going into MAFS than she did prior to The Bachelor.
The former bachelorette told Woman's Day that she has been ditched by her ‘closest friends’ in a bid to find love for the second time on Married At First Sight NZ.
“They told me I was stupid and that they didn’t agree with it.”
“They’ve left my life now. This has cost me some very good friends – well what I thought were good friends,” says the Christchurch-born blonde.
Bel's family also struggled with the idea of the controversial show, with her father needing a few bourbons to process the news before saying “oh, it’s ok.”
Bel then jokes, “I don’t think he’s stopped drinking since!”
At the end of the day, the love-seeking lass hasn’t given up hope yet: “I love being in love. I want that feeling again.”
Married At First Sight NZ continues tonight on Three at 7.30pm.
