Supermodel Gisele Bündchen - the highest-paid model in the world for 15 years - has finally been knocked off the top spot.
Kendall Jenner has knocked Bündchen off the top spot for the first time since 2002, after becoming the most profitable model in the industry!
According to Forbes, Jenner’s earnings totaled £16.6m ($32,147,560 NZD) this year. Apparently Kendall's biggest gigs came from Estee Lauder, La Perla and Adidas, while her Kendall + Kylie clothing line also largely contributed to the earnings.
Bündchen, earned £13.2m ($25,568,400 NZD), putting her securely in second place and £3m ($7.7m NZD) ahead of third place Chrissy Teigen, who made the Forbes list for the first time.
Some of Kendall's earnings have obviously come from her spot in family reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Plus, with 85 million follower on Instagram, she rakes in additional money through social media endorsements.
Jenner, who is just 22 years old, has already scored some extremely covetable modelling opportunities, including a cover on Vogue’s September issue, a lead spot on the Marc Jacobs Runway, and as the face of Estee Lauder.
However, social media may have been one of Jenner's biggest earners. According to Forbes, "This year's list is dominated by Insta-girls, including the Instagram-famous sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid."
Ivan Bart, president at IMG Models, explained: "With social media, there are more opportunities to create your own content and use your voice, and the stars are using it."
