Katy Perry may just call New Zealand home in the future.

The popstar, who is coming to Auckland for two shows next week, is interested in NZ real estate.

Speaking with Stuff,  said she can "understand why people would want to live in one of the freshest, most lush places in the world."

Adding, "One of these days I'll probably take time to check out the real estate".

And it's not only our greenery she loves about NZ, speaking to Seven Sharp, the singer was pleased to learn we now have a female Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, and that she’s recently welcomed her first child into the world.

“I love that, I hope that stars a ripple effect,” Perry said.

Katy seems to also love the adrenalin fuelled activities Aotearoa has on offer.

“In Auckland we’re going to bungee jump off the bridge again, we’ve already done it once but a lot of new people have joined the tour since we did it so we’re taking a whole other group.”

We get the pleasure of hosting the last shows for the Katy Perry Witness the Tour and she seems to think she's saved the best to last.

“It is a well-oiled machine so Auckland is probably going to get the best show of all the shows,” the singer said.

“I’m so excited to be in Auckland, I love New Zealand, I just think it’s going to be very heartfelt, Kiwis are the best.”
