Former Shortland Street star Pua Magasiva found dead in Wellington

Former Shortland Street star Pua Magasiva has been found dead in Wellington today.

There were no suspicious circumstances.

The actor rose to fame on Shortland Street where he played nurse Vinnie Kruse-Miller from 2003 to last year.

He also had roles in the Power Rangers television series, Sione's Wedding, Outrageous Fortune and co-hosted the Sela, Pua and Tarsh breakfast radio show on Flava until 2018.

A spokesperson from South Pacific Pictures confirmed his death.

Magasiva was 38.
