"I've got so much to write about when I go home, maybe I'll write about how cool NZ is."
Holly Humberstone touched down in Middle Earth ahead of her first ever show in New Zealand at Auckland's iconic Tuning Fork.
Cam from ZM's Late Show caught up with her about her love for Lord Of The Rings, her debut album, and the crazy life of being on the road with Olivia Rodrigo.
Holly's a MASSIVE Lord of the Rings fan, saying, "I've always been a bit of a weird, freaky nerd for like Harry Potter and stuff like that."
"Watching LOTR just makes everything better... I dunno what it is about it, it just sets my soul on fire. I think my sister and I watched the whole LOTR and The Hobbit series like three or four times."
Next time she comes back, Cam has shotgunned taking her and her sister to Hobbiton!
They also talked about her upcoming debut album and not rushing the process, "I'm a bit anxious about it because there are so many of my favourite artists that have a really iconic debut, the best album is like the debut album you know."
She continued, "I don't want to rush it, I just want to take my time with it and I'd rather end up with something that I'm really proud of even if it takes me a little bit longer."
As well as writing her debut album, she's also been busy on the road with Girl In Red and Olivia Rodrigo.
She found a friend in Olivia who's also experiencing her first big tour too, "She's absolutely lovely. She's so fun [...] it was really lovely to be able to hang out with another kind of younger girl who's just getting used to all of this and touring. It was really nice to have a friend on tour as well."
If you missed out on Holly's show relive the highlights below! No doubt she will be back soon to explore Hobbiton and play another epic show for us.
