The Wonut: An Amazing Mixture Between a Waffle and Donut

First there was the cronut, the delicious combination of a croissant and a donut, which Greggs described as "the most exciting thing since the birth of the sausage roll".

Now there's a better food mashup: the wonut. It's a hybrid of a waffle and a donut, with a chewy centre and a sugary exterior.

To make a wonut you simply make waffles, then deep fry them until they're golden, dip in a super sweet glaze and add sprinkes. 

The wonuts were invented by Waffles Cafe in Chicago and sell for between $2.25 and $3.00. They come in many interesting flavours including Mexican Chocolate, Green Tea, Birthday Cake, and Chocolate Turtle (whatever that is...)
