So this morning it was announced that Ed Sheeran is coming to NZ! (Get all the deets here)

But if you watched his interview with Megan (like three months ago), you would have known he was coming to NZ in 2018!

In an interview with Megan in February 2017, she asked the question we've all been dying to know since he started dropping songs from his new album Divide; 'when are you coming to NZ next?'

Ed's response was everything we wanted PLUS MORE!!

"Uhh... early next year is when the tour is scheduled for... but I'll probably be there non-working before then."

So not only did Ed confirm that he's coming for a tour in early 2018, he's probably coming this year to visit!

And remember this gem? It looks like Ed is looking into the possibility of moving to Aotearoa.

"I did ask for citizenship and I think we got an email from someone involved with that. So maybe that's going to happen. I could be a citizen," Ed said to Megan.

The 26-year-old believes a new life down under would make him safer if there was a world war.

"No one is going to be bothered to come that far to invade."

YES ED! We will definitely be welcoming you with open arms (aaaand if you need a Kiwi wife to help with gaining citizenship, we could probably find you a long list of volunteers!!)
