You may know by now that Trade Me has made the controversial decision to ban the sale of certain dog breeds across their platform.

As of the 1st of March, Pugs, British bulldogs and French bulldogs will no longer be available for adoption on the site.

Trade Me policy and compliance team leader James Ryan explained that the breeds are being banned due to a medical condition they share. "These breeds suffer acutely from brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (Boas) which dramatically impacts the quality of their life. Even when the dog is not severely affected, BOAS will cause noisy breathing, snorting and snoring," he said.

Here are the top 6 cute AF crossbreeds you can adopt instead.

6. Golden Dox - Golden Retreivers and Dauschunds

5. Bodacion – Border Collie x Dalmatian

4. Chusky - Chow chow x Siberian Husky

3. Pomsky – Pomeranian x Husky

2. Goberian – Golden Retriever x Siberian Husky

1. Aussie Pom – Pomerian x Australian Shepherd

Fletch's Honourable Mention - Corgi and a Siberian Husky - Siborgi
