Leifkes’ engagement ring is made from Unger’s actual wisdom tooth. The pair met at a music festival earlier this year and they came up with the idea for the wedding ring together.

Leifkes says “When we’d spoken about it, I’d said that diamonds are so overrated. My birthstone is a diamond. I don’t need one to prove how much someone loves me.”

Unger had his dad mail him one of the wisdom teeth he’d removed when he was younger, and they took it to a jeweler to have something creative made.

Although they picked up the ring together, Unger wouldn’t let Leifkes see it until he got down on his knee and formally popped the question in front of her family, who said “You’ve never been traditional, why start now?!”

Leifkes, who currently has a broken leg, says they will be getting married in Las Vegas this month. “I’m going to have a cast, a wisdom tooth ring, a pink dress, and Elvis is going to marry us!”
She also says she loves that her ring stands out from the sea of diamonds on Facebook. “It’s almost a contest of who has the biggest ring and whose fiancé loves them the most, and here I am with the coolest ring I’ve ever seen in my life! What does a diamond signify in anybody’s relationship? I literally have my husband’s wisdom on my finger.”
