Don't panic! Ed is fine, but his arm and concerts may suffer. Thousands of fans face an anxious wait to find out whether the singer will perform at upcoming gigs after he was knocked off his bike in London.

The singer is feared to have suffered a broken arm when he collided with a car in the capital, but has taken to Instagram to reassure fans that he is okay.

On Instagram today, Sheeran wrote: "I've had a bit of a bicycle accident and I'm currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x"

The picture shows his right hand, with which he usually plays his guitar, in a plaster cast and his other arm in a sling.

He has 15 Asia tour dates planned, which are due to see him play in Tokyo, Manila and Singapore between now and November 23, but his injury could cause those gigs to be cancelled.
